Making a spare room into a closet?

Ok here is what to do. You can cover the walls with white paneling, tack nailed down so for easy removal later on. Then go to a local resale shop. A lot of these places have cheap lighting there. One time I remodeled a small room with mirror on the walls, not only made the room optically bigger but a lot brighter! Walmart has this hanger that holes in them. You hang your clothes in the holes then you can open them up which makes them fold down giving you a lot more room in the closet. Really inexpensive. Menards also carries them or Lowes, or Home Depot. I would suggest 4 standing mirrors in each corner then a light in the middle of the room from above. Good Luck.

if im not mistaken, cats do that to put their scent on the home and the master as if to say "this is mine". so if another animal comes around they will smell the scent of your cat and know that this space is "claimed territory". the cause of compulsive rubbing may be the result of mice running around while you sleep and your cat smells their fur around the house. not trying to say you have a mouse problem but just pointing out that it could be a reason for the constant rubbing.

Why are my fingernails clear?

So, I grew out my natural nails because I can't stand fake ones. I used to be a nail-bitter, and then stopped chewing. Like I said, I grew out my nails, and now they are about half an inch away from my fingertip. They are clear also, and very flimsy. My Fancy Rat died today?

So I'm a very affectionate person when it comes to animals. My brother had 2 fancy rats since December and basically we really loved them. Today when I woke up she looked ill. What is the difference between flea bites and bedbug bites?

I have only a few small red bites on my foot/ankle area that itch, but not too bad. One of them itched really bad so I used my sock to scratch it thinking it would be better than scratching with my fingernails. After I scratched it the spot became instantly bigger and very bright red around the boarder and slightly lighter in the center. There is no redness around any other part of it. It is leaking fluid, I saw this on my sock and the band-aid. It gets redder daily, but does not itch anymore. I am not getting any more bites at all. I was outside, on my wooden stairwell of my apartments. We live in an area where sand is common, even in the soil. I have had flea bites before and none of them ever looked like the big bite I have, but they looked just like the other bites. Like I said it looks close to a cigarette burn, but that isn't what it is. My neighbor had her apartment treated for bedbugs, and I was standing close to her front door, but so were my husband, two children, a friend of my child's, and two other neighbors of ours. None of them have the bites.

Are collectible barbies worth anything out of box?

I have various collectible barbies from 1996-2000. Originally paid between $40 to $80 for most. One of which was over $100 (symphony in chiffon). I took them out of the boxes and had them set up in a shelving unit. Some of them have suffered from being exposed to air and dust. I never planned on selling them, but now things have changed and I'm not as enthusiastic about them as I once was. I want to get rid of them, but I don't know if they would be worth anything. If there is anyone with experience in auctioning of toys and/or dolls that can give some insight, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm thinking Ebay. Put a post up for the group and see if anyone has any they are discarding. Can't get any cheaper than that. Also, if you possibly have a Habitat for Humanity re-store in your area (we don't), they also recycle building materials and house fixtures. And you might have some luck at your local thrift stores. I've gotten organizing fixtures at thrift stores before. I don't think you care about things matching, so you can mix and match with what you find at various places if there's only one or two shelves at each.

I don't think I have ever heard a good argument for this one. I have been in it and I know that it's hard, but so is getting a 2400 on an sat or painting the fingernails of your dominant hand. Difficulty really isn't a good measure of what is a sport and what isn't, so can I get some good arguments please? And none of this "we practice more than any other sport" bullsh*t. I know you do, but that's only because you're not working as hard. Think about it, some honors students study for 5+ hours a night in addition to school. So why do you think it is? Or isn't?

Need some oranizing ideas for my 5 year old boys room?

His room is rather small, but he has plenty of room for organization. I currently have his toys separated in different sized baskets. Every once in a while it gets outta control and we have to go through and separate but he does pretty good at putting stuff where it goes. But I feel like I could do better but don't know what or how. Well actually I know that if I got one of those awesome shelving thingies at potter barn kids, that would be fabulous. Hi all, what is pepper extract that you find in food? What I mean is, what kind of pepper is it? Is it black, white, bell pepper, chilli pepper or what? I'm deathly allergic to bell peppers so I need to know before I eat anything with it in. What ceiling lighting is best for my room theme?

I have an antique-modern mix, most of the colors are modern but there are a few contemporary colors too. There is still some things I might change: if I can't get a good look making my desk into a vanity, I'm gonna give it to a family member and then buy an antique vanity and paint it a modern color. If I do that then I'm probably gonna get a little more modern shelving to go with the vanity. And then I'm waiting to get my wardrobe, which is contemporary but gonna be painted a more modern color. How to restart my herb garden after overwintering in the garage?

I read a book from the library about my herb container garden and what to do in the winter. As I only have one south facing tiny window I decided not to try to continue to use the herbs in the winter. The book had stated to cut back my perennial herbs and store the pots in the garage. I live in Toledo, Ohio so outside was not a good idea. My garage is dark and averages just above freezing. I stored them next to an interior wall on a metal shelving unit. I did not water. It's hard to find older shower door hardware. Any suggestions?

My house was built about '87 and the shower doors are metal-framed. I can't find a brand on them. I'd like to buy 4 of the plastic snap in guides for the bottom track. Also, I had to take off the towel rack because I put in a shelf tower right next to the shower and there's not enough clearance to open the door all the way with the towel rack in place. I'd like to find one with a lower profile that might fit behind the shelving. But it seems almost impossible to find replacement hardware for older doors. I can't afford to get all-new doors. First Tattoo Trouble..?

Black nail varnish problem?

Er..I was wearing red nail polish one for ages and when I took it off it was a weird color. I just re-painted my nails and it turned out fine when my nails grew. It seems to me like it's just a surface stain and it will grow out with your nails. I now use a base coat and that stops the staining.

I keep getting distracted. I don't know what exactly is going on. Organizational tips for childrens home library?

We have our books sorted by topic, or series. Our series collections are alphabetical by author's last name. For example we have all the DK books in one place and all the Osborne books in one place. They usually have the topic written on the side. (We don't have them with the front facing out- just shelved). There are some labels on certain things. We have a HUGE collection of autism resources (we should start an autism book store, I swear) and it is labelled with dates because autism research goes gets old really fast. Certain other books have labels on the shelves too. We haven't cataloged them though. I don't see the point really because I can find things easily.

The dress is really fun, and the colors sound great! I think that because it's so shiny and has a belt, you should do minimal accessories. Would it be safe to use those stick on tiles to cover wire mesh on the levels of my rats new cage?

I was going to buy a Critter Nation cage, but then I remembered that I have an old plastic and wire rabbit cage that's much larger than the CN (48" x 36" x 36"). The only problem with it is that it is one level, so I'd need to add a couple levels to it so thy can enjoy themselves more. All I can think of to make the levels is hardware cloth but i don't want my girls' feet to be on wire all day (though the bottom of the cage is solid). I was thinking I could just use those stick on tiles from the hardware store and cut them to fit the new shelves. Would this be safe? I don't want to use wood because wood will absorb pee and it'll begin to smell after a while, and my girls tear fleece to shreds so I can't really use that. If tile isn't safe what is? Or, what could I make the shelving out of that is solid?

My friend decided to put glitter gel nails on my fingernails even though they're only for toenails. She failed to mention that they ruin your nails when you take them off. Is my fish dying or laying eggs?

Alright so I got this fish 2 months ago exactly and when i got her i thought it was a dude until I checked "how to tell if your goldfish is a dude or a chick" and I realised it was a girl. Its had a big belly since I got her so I just thought she was fat. I feed my fish once in the morning at 6am and once at 10 pm. I got another fish and think he's a boy (not sure, he's not completely grown yet) I haven't changed the feeding, its still the same amount (like 2 1/2 fish flakes the size of half a fingernail each) so I don't think im overfeeding. Anyway, I looked at my tank before I left tonight and my girl fish was belly up but still breathing and taking a long poop (sorry but that's how i describe it) and i thought the balls were air bubbles and she was dying because she had air in her tummy but then i touched one and it didn't explode like i thought air bubbles would. So i thought that was weird and i was tapping the bowl so she would swim around chanting "fight Laquisha! Fight for your life!" and then I cried (naturally. These are my first pets) And 2 hours later I come back home and she's STILL breathing, belly up, taking her poop. So at this point I went online to check what fish eggs look like and Im pretty sure they're fish eggs but I don't think the girl fish are supposed to be belly up :/ is she gonna die? Is she already dying? Also, I scooped out the male goldfish and put him in a bowl for the night in-case she does die. Don't want him getting sick...or eating the eggs. Also, I cleaned their tank 2 days ago and the water is murky. Im like...80% sure the male fish isn't ready to spawn yet so idk why its like that.... Please help :(

Help! Horizontal ridges on my toenails?

I'm seventeen years old and I just now realised I have faint (but I'm able to feel them) horizontal ridges on my toenails. There are a few nails that don't have any ridges but most of them do. Hello my name is Matthew im 14. i am from hawaii,but was born in san fransisco California i've been living in hawaii for 3 years. i wish to go to the mainland but can't because my dad did a crime, he is a body man and has no job, he works but its kinda like self employment except without all that taxes bullshi't. i am a gypsy, i travel a whole lot from place to place, i've lived in maybe 5 different sates, throughout 14 years of my life. people don't really know the way the gypsy culture they will likely miss under stand it, a gypsy is a person who travels alot! and dose not have a job and dose not have good credit score and dose not get "legally married" and a bunch of other stuff including paying there taxes. gypsy people don't believe in a good education because i mean seriously 8 years in school + collage? all gypsies don't believe in that some do some don't, me on the other hand im one of the lucky ones, i can read and write and spell hate math. i have missed up to 7 years of school because of my family due to traveling and my culture. the only thing a gypsy family really wants is a 1.money 2.house 3.fancy cars 4.live life to its fullest 5.have a very Very large family.in gypsy culture collage is getting married the way i think of it, a average gypsy boy is considered a man at 14-16 i am 14 i am suppose to get married in 2-3 more years i don't, most boys do. i have a very poor family,very big but poor.constantly asking family members for money and begging. i hate begging! so embarrassing. what im trying to tell you is that i don't really know if i wanna continue to live this life. if i continue to become a gypsy my job will be to buy and sell cars, its not that bad actually i would buy a car for low money and sell it for high i would make maybe 3-5K depending on the cars.but that's not what i want nore getting married at 16 nore moving from place to place nore destroying my credit nore living a criminal life. if i chose to become a "american" my mother and father will disown me, i don't want that, the gypsy culture insists on becoming strictly gypsy, all my family will disown me, but im sure they will love me. i've told them many times if i get a job i would make more money then both of them but no...i wish i could change my life it sucks! all i do is play games all day long no school nothing not even a social life.if i do get a job i have one in mind...i would like to be a infectious disease researcher and work with the CDC in atlanta i would make around $178,000 Annual. and i would "own my home' and my car a, new one plus i'd have money in the bank,but then there's collage see that's were my problems start, i have missed all my years of school and it would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to get into a good collage since, i want to major in biology and medical no one would except me!, it would take me maybe 17 years to get my job go to collage and save up all the money to do that. i don't wanna waste 17 years of my life for that. and if i do get a job the most id ever make is maybe $35,000 Annual,i really don't no what to do? i mean some of my family members are rich from buying and selling car's and psychic readings. i don't know and even if your saying to your self were are the police,well if your saying where is child protective services they wouldn't find me because i move like crazy Plus gypsy are excellent liars,i mean i have a home i have food i have all of that i don't want the police to take me away from my family i have 3 brothers and 1 sister they don't go to school, i don't know what to do you tell me?

What would be the best way to change the color of a Frisbee golf disc?

ok so me and my friends just bought a couple frolf discs and some are in bad shape. we want to fix them up a little. i know i could try acetone (the stuff thats in fingernail polish remover) but im not sure it will work entirely. we want to buy some neon spray paint and just refinish them but ive heard that i can mess with the disc. we arent competitive players so i could care less if its illegal. i want to know if i spraypaint...will it make my disc worse?

Why have my nails changed colors?

Lately i've noticed something different about myself. My nails (both fingernails and toe nails) have turned a dark purple color.. i thought i was just cold.. but even when i'm in the bath, they are still purple. Well ok I work at the school library and my co-worker is a girl whose one grade below me but is beautiful and has big breasts. Just put a drop of glue in the screw hole,push in the little cover and you should be fine.Super glue,model glue or plain old Elmer's will probably work just fine.

I just need to know if im crazy?

hi well me and my girlfriend work at the same place. we both work at a theme park at one of the roller coasters. at work there is this one girl who is 11 years old and comes to the park everyday by herself. she brings everyone at work cupcakes on a day to day basis and her mother has never been seen. one day she came to my job with invitations to her birthday party. i immediately knew it was a horrible idea to go and my girlfriend felt the same way. two other people when to the party came back and told my girlfriend about it and said it was really fancy and was just her family there. my girlfriend now insist that if the little girl invites us to another party we should go. i strongly disagree with this because i do not feel as if it is our place to be at her party where we know nothing about this little girl except for that she is 11 and comes to the park everyday. i just want to know if im crazy and should be more accepting to go or am i doing the logical thing by not allowing her to go.

What are these pads on the bottom of my furniture?

I'm putting together a 7 piece desk/hutch set. Each base unit (the heavy part with drawers and legs) has a shelving unit that sits on top of it. On the underside of the shelving units are these small dots, about the size of a dime. They have the consistensy of Mole Skin cloth and are very thin (about 1/16 inches thick). They are not felt. And I've been to every store and website i can imaging and cannot find a replacement. I'm only finding felt pads, which don't do the job because felt slides and these don't so they hold the shelving unit onto of the base better. Anybody know what those are, and where I might be able to find replacements?

How much touching is necessary?

I'm seeing a physiotherapist and wondered how much touching is necessary. It's for a leg complaint. I know it's their job but she can't keep her hands off me. What's the title of this book?

It has a sixteen year old girl and she has to go to a fancy ball where they get to eat proper food for the first time in forever and then at the ball they get matched with the person they will marry and fall in love with and she gets her best friend (Which never really happens) and then she gets send a chip about the person who she is matched with and another persons face pops up and she knows that person too. Then over the summer she does a hiking course and she becomes friends with the person that wasn't meant to pop up on the screen and she starts to fall in love. Her dad works at a recycle plant or something like that and her grandfather dies during the story and a lot of books are banned in their area but she has this poem that her grandfather gave her that she loves. My ears are bleeding! HELP!?

So 2 weeks ago I passed out at work and hit my head on some shelving, I was taken to the hospital and nothing was really done, so after that I have been getting really bad headache almost everyday. And just yesterday I went to clean my ears out with a Qtip and there was some blood on it and I also can barley hear out of my ear. I dont know if this is caused by me hitting my head or not, I know it is not normal. So please let me know what you think.

I'm curious to hear what others may think when it comes to the Patriot Act. That is a lot of legislation. When some bills take years to write, and the pass in the Senate or Congress, how was this bill written so quickly, and then passed through the Senate and Congress even quicker. My suspicion was that it was written long before 9/11, which doesn't necessarily mean that there's a conspiracy here...I'm sure a lot of bills are written and then shelved for periods of time. Does anyone know the true history of this act?
