Are collectible barbies worth anything out of box?

I have various collectible barbies from 1996-2000. Originally paid between $40 to $80 for most. One of which was over $100 (symphony in chiffon). I took them out of the boxes and had them set up in a shelving unit. Some of them have suffered from being exposed to air and dust. I never planned on selling them, but now things have changed and I'm not as enthusiastic about them as I once was. I want to get rid of them, but I don't know if they would be worth anything. If there is anyone with experience in auctioning of toys and/or dolls that can give some insight, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm thinking Ebay. I was looking online, but the only ones I could find were in the boxes. By the way, for some of them I still have the boxes, but they were taken out to put on display. Thanks!
