Should this really be hurting that much?

A couple months ago, a couple days before spring break I was in my metal tech shop class horsing around with a friend when I cut my elbow on a sharp dirty locker edge the stitches worked nicely but now its near the end of june and the scar is about dark red and very visible....My problem is that whenever I hit that area on a corner of a door or one of my friends accidentally scratch it with a fingernail I get this sickening sharp shooting pain...Btw the cut was bone deep 10 stitches...Should it still be painful to this day?
