Cat rubs against everything obsessively?

if im not mistaken, cats do that to put their scent on the home and the master as if to say "this is mine". so if another animal comes around they will smell the scent of your cat and know that this space is "claimed territory". the cause of compulsive rubbing may be the result of mice running around while you sleep and your cat smells their fur around the house. not trying to say you have a mouse problem but just pointing out that it could be a reason for the constant rubbing.
