How to remove callus' on the side of my fingernails?

Please I'm desperate!!! I got them from chewing my fingers. I can feel them though. It's not dead skin. I went to a doctor and they tried to freeze it. Nothing happened.. PLEASE HELP! if you fix my problem. Your literally the coolest person ever!!!!
