Would painting my daughters fingernails be harmful?

Hi this may seem silly to ask but my 2 year old loves having her toenails painted and I do not mind doing this for her. She is very girly and loves it but recently shes been crying and asking for her fingernails to be painted too. She sees me doing mine though Im not sure about this as when she eats etc she still puts her fingers in her mouth. Would this be harmful to her if I did paint her nails. Dont worry Im not decorating my child lol.... its the only wee girly thing we do together. Ive had to buy her fake make up sets etc already and stick on earrings. Shes such a girly girl. Anyway do you think it would be ok to paint her fingernails. Shes 2.3 months. Thank you in advance xxx
