Fingernail cracked in half from dog bite?

my dogs paw hurt so, i tried to see what was wrong with it, and he bit me because i guess he didnt want me touch it. well, he bit me and cracked my nail from the middle. you know the part thats pink? well that. he also broke the skin and it hurts. will my nail fix itself and if so what should i do until then? it stopped bleeding a bit ago. should i wash it with soap now or what?
